Zombie Bite
The bite is used in the start of the short to throw the audience into believing its a zombie film. The equipment required to make this was;
- Special effect wax (This is the main template for the teeth marks)
- Fake Blood (This is to give it that real infected, bleeding effect)
- Knife (To retrieve the wax out the pot, also used to create the teeth marks int he wax. We also found a house plug prong worked better to create a teeth mark effect. Real teeth didn't work as the wax just got stuck in the mouth!!)
- Cotton Buds/Liquid Latex (This is used to smear the liquid latex as a base layer and used to spread the fake blood around the arm)

Step 1 - Apply some liquid latex into area of arm using cotton bud as a base layer. Use the knife to retrieve the wax from the pot and make two mold templates to create your teeth puncture wound! Apply these onto the arm using the knife...

Step 2 - Use a plug/knife to create the teeth indents within the wax. Do not attempt what we did in this picture as it didn't work (Wax got stuck to the teeth)!

Step 3 - Apply fake blood all over the wound but try and keep the blood out of the wax indentations for better effect! This is the finished look....
Zombie Mum
The zombie mum is used both at the start of the storyline and ending! Follow the captions in the pictures below to see how we applied the makeup to the actor!
What you'll need:- Liquid Latex, Tissue Paper, Fake Blood, Hair Brush, White Contact Lenses, Black Face Paint, Eye Shadow, Dark Lipstick and most of all Patience! Take your time and focus on the details for a better outcome; remember this makeup is focused for shooting in Monochrome where you can get away with a lot, your just not going to get that kind of chance when shooting in colour so give yourself more time to do the makeup!

Horde Zombies
You will need, Liquid Latex, Fake Blood, White Contact Lenses, Toilet Paper, Dark Paint/Makeup and Cotton Buds (To help apply the liquid latex)! Plus plenty of tea and biscuits, you want to distract the actors from being uncomfortable with the makeup on!
We went through 4 pots of liquid latex, 1 pair of white contact lenses and a lot of fake blood on this horde zombie shoot! Realistically you are going to need at least one pot of liquid latex minimum per zombie for them to look fully zombied!

House Zombie
Again we used bit less than one pot of latex! He ended up looking more Orc like than zombie but its not a bad attempt! Again because the Film is in Black and White the makeup comes across a lot better! If you are to recreate in colour the fake blood will have to be used to greater effect!
